Berning Homestead Home 1

The Berning Homestead is the family farm that is celebrating the 175th anniversary this year.  This house is actually a new addition to the farm.  When I was there last in the mid-2000's (I actually lived in the Fort Wayne area when I was in Kindergarten through 2nd grade), the house on the property was a multi-story house.  Unfortunatly, there was a giant hole on the side near the main entrance.  This house was recently built after the house I remembered was demolished.  (The Berning family owns several farming property south of the Fort Wayne area.  Sorry if I didn't make that clear.)  My parents and I went to the Homestead Friday night to help prepare for the 175th anniversary party the following day.
